Entrepreneurs – You Can Build Your Business Offline

Don’t Use Social Media Or Blogs? You Can Still Build Your Business Without Them

It has become the common belief that the only way to develop your business is with a blog, social media, a YouTube channel or Tweeting to your fingers hurt. While they are all excellent tools and I personally recommend them as part of your overall strategy, you can do very well without them too.

Hard to believe that it wasn’t that many years ago that folks actually talked to one another face to face to generate new clients and expand their business’s. While it’s not the latest way to do things, it’s not a lost art and continues to be the way a significant part of business is conducted.

I’m not suggesting you throw your computer away, just use it for researching options to develop your business as opposed to your relationship building. There’s a lot to be said for meeting people in person and looking them in the eye before you start attempting to sell them anything.

Build Your Business Through Networking Events

One of the best methods to still create new business is by attending networking events in your community or vertical niche. Here’s where research can truly help you. There are websites like Meetup.com that will let you know where every event of every type is being held, how many people are attending the events plus they even have a list of members you could contact. You could even sponsor these groups for greater visibility.

One note of caution here, don’t focus too much on the business groups. Try and find a group that fits with your specific products and services and better yet, with something you like to do. At the end of the day the best business relationships come out of personal relationships. So when you have a common thread of interest, you will have a greater chance of building a business relationship out of that thread.

Another great place to go is trade associations. It is easy to join a local chapter and attend their events. More important would be to get involved with their committees. Many times people tend to be slow to get to know you just from the social events, but when you get involved with a committee, you will have the opportunity to get to know people better and they can in turn refer you to others who might need what you have.

You can become involved with the local chambers of commerce, Rotary, Optimist Club (etc) as well. The same things apply, go to their events, and become involved. Also, if you do meet people don’t start out by attempting to push your business, get to know them and when you have a relationship, ask them for referrals. In many cases they may not be your potential customer, but, if they trust you, they will know someone who might be your customer in the future.

Use Your New Relationships To Grow Your Business Over Time

There are many other places to go and meet individuals who might be your targets like non-profit organizations and more. Do your research and check out several types of groups that can be a fit, many of the local papers publish business type events as well. I would even suggest that when you are at an event that you ask people you meet, who seem to be good networkers, “where else should I go?”

But even more important, you need to make sure that you do more with the folks you meet then try and push your products. You want to build relationships and become known as the local business match maker. There are some rules to success with networking that a lot of people violate.

If you are successful at your event in getting lots of contact names, try and write something down about each person you meet at an event. Then as soon as humanly possible, you want to send them an individual note, thanking them for chatting with you, bring up something about the conversation from your note you took and offer to get together with them for a cup of coffee to find out how you two can assist each other.

As you get to know more people you will be able to build many cross referrals. The better you get at that, the more people will come to rely on you as the individual to go to when they are looking for something. As you become recognized for that, you will have more and regular contact with people and slowly but surely you will see referrals coming your way as well.

So without Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or any type of social media, this is a great offline way to develop your business and it still works extremely well.

Making The Transition From Business Owner To Master Marketer

If you want to switch from being a slave to your business to running your own successful company hands off, then you need to know how to automate your business. Sometimes this requires hiring new staff, employing the use of software tools, or working more than you normally do. I’m not a big fan of the latter, but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

Automating your business should be a core aspect of your marketing plan. When you automate your business, you allow yourself to kick back and enjoy life. And isn’t that what you’re in business for in the first place? This is something that you have to seriously consider if you want to make a lot of money in your business.

You see automating your business is something that the struggling business owner doesn’t understand. Most business owners are struggling to make ends meet simply because they focus on things related to their business only, without giving a thought about marketing or advertising.

To truly improve your business, you need to change your way of thinking. You have to view yourself as being a “master marketer”, instead of just being a business owner. You have the best product or service in the world, but if nobody knows about it, what good is it for your business?

This is something that you need to think about if you want to have a huge impact on your sales and profits. You should never hate the idea of marketing and advertising. With enough marketing, you could make your business a hit within a few short months. Don’t believe me? Then try it out for yourself.

Create a marketing plan that will allow you to take advantage of the open market, and to serve the people in it. The more you can make your prospect feel better about doing business with you, the better. This is something that you definitely want to be doing in your business.

As an entrepreneur, I’m sure you never thought of your business as being a failure, and it doesn’t have to go this route. Make sure you have a plan that is unwavering, and that is proven to work time and time again. This consistency will help with your marketing efforts, and will help you to earn the kind of money that you desire in your business.

Don’t sit back and watch how your competitors get the upper hand over you. Take charge and make sure that you’re doing everything that you need to be doing to have success over the competition. Take these words to heart as you continue to market your business.

Use these tips to have the thriving and successful business that you dream of. It’s not hard to put into action, and it’s something that all business owners can do to increase their sales and profits immediately. Once you get the ball rolling, there’s no turning back. So start using them right away.

Good luck with using these ideas to make more money in your business today.
